Exporting or deleting your data
Taking a copy of everything, and closing your account for good.

Exporting
Settings → Export your data. We build a JSON archive of your profile, the workspaces you own, file metadata, audit history and notifications, and email you a download link when it is ready. The link is good for twenty-four hours.
The export contains metadata about files rather than the file contents themselves; download those from the files page.
You can ask for an export at any time, as often as you like.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete account. This is permanent, so it is deliberately not instant:
- You confirm, and we schedule the deletion for fourteen days from now.
- We email you a cancellation link, and a banner in the app offers the same until the date arrives.
- On the day, your account is deleted along with any workspace where you were the only member. Customer records at the payment provider are removed too.
Cancel at any point during those fourteen days and nothing happens.
What deletion does not do
- Workspaces with other members survive. You are removed from them; their files, billing and history belong to the workspace, not to you. If you are the only owner of a shared workspace, promote somebody else first or the workspace is left without an owner.
- The audit log keeps what you did. Entries record that an action happened, which is the point of an audit log; your account no longer exists but the record of the action does.
- Invoices and receipts stay with the payment provider, which is generally required by tax law.
Someone else's data
If you are an administrator handling a request on behalf of a member, remove them from the workspace and ask them to delete their own account. We do not delete a person's account on somebody else's word.
