Getting started

What this is

A tour of the product in two minutes, and where to go next.

2 minute read

This is a multi-tenant SaaS application. Everything you do happens inside a workspace: files, API keys, billing, audit history and members all belong to one, and you can belong to several and switch between them at any time.

The shape of it

There are three surfaces, and it helps to know which one you are on.

  • The dashboard is your workspace: files, usage against your plan, and the setup checklist while it still has anything to say.
  • Settings is split into what belongs to you (profile, security, notifications) and what belongs to the workspace (members, roles, branding, billing, audit log). You only see the workspace half if your role allows it.
  • The API is the same product over HTTP. Anything you can do in the interface has an endpoint behind it, documented in the API reference.

Your first ten minutes

  1. Name your workspace. It starts as "your name's workspace", which is fine for one person and confusing for everyone else. Settings → Workspace.
  2. Upload something. The dashboard has an uploader; files are private to the workspace and counted against your plan's storage.
  3. Invite somebody. Workspaces are meant to be shared. See Inviting your team for what each role can do.
  4. Create an API key if you plan to build against it. See the API quickstart.

When something is wrong

Most problems fall into three buckets: you cannot get in (see Signing in), a payment did not go through (see When a payment fails), or an API call is refused (see Rate limits and quotas).

If none of those fit, the contact form is the fastest route to a person.
